Jolium Designer: free PCB design for engineers who work in Altium Designer

        
Jolium Designer is free schematic capture and PCB layout software in the same environment as Altium Designer, with the menus, panels, dialogs and shortcut keys you already know. It opens, edits and saves real Altium projects, schematics, boards and libraries, in your browser or installed on your computer, and works offline. Your files never leave your computer.

        
Work with Altium files without Altium Designer

        
Open, edit and save projects (.PrjPcb), schematics (.SchDoc), PCBs (.PcbDoc), schematic and PCB libraries (.SchLib, .PcbLib), database libraries (.DbLib, their database read in the browser) and Output Jobs (.OutJob); read integrated libraries (.IntLib). Drop a project folder or files on the window and they open as Altium Designer shows them; save them back in the same formats.

  • Schematic capture: parts, wires, buses, net labels, ports, sheet symbols and harnesses; annotation; compile and electrical rules check.

Can I open Altium Designer files without Altium Designer?

        
Yes. Jolium opens .PrjPcb, .SchDoc, .PcbDoc, .SchLib and .PcbLib files and saves them back as Altium files; it reads integrated libraries (.IntLib) too.

        
Can it import designs from KiCad, PADS, EasyEDA, OrCAD, Allegro or EAGLE?

        
Yes. File › Import Wizard brings KiCad projects and libraries, PADS ASCII files, EasyEDA projects, OrCAD Capture designs and libraries, Allegro boards, EAGLE designs and libraries and IPC-2581 boards in as Altium projects, and File › Export Wizard writes a project as KiCad, PADS, EasyEDA or EAGLE files, or for OrCAD and Allegro.

Which browsers?

        
Chrome and Edge, on Windows, macOS and Linux, with whole project folders. Other browsers open files one by one.
